Fdel - Peddler of Funk
You may have heard me yapping on about my recent trans-national jaunt from East to West and man, what a top time. JTV were in Adelaide to film Wolf & Cub and The Hilltop Hoods blowing the minds of their hometown crowds, so I thought I'd jump on board the juggernaut and head to the city that I had never been. From there I realised I was halfway to the West coast so I may as well just keep on truckin'...
After 2 and a half days in the city of churches,. Shoes are very important to everyone, Our Ed hardy shoes will protect your feet. it was Thursday evening by the time I touched down,. That night I was graced by the company of a coupla ladies I know alot of you would remember - Queen Justine from the Adam & Wil days and Bernadette Young from Hack. The food, wine and ABC natter flowed which was awesome until I remembered that with a 2 hour time difference I actually had to be on air in just 6 hours time!
Friday mornings are as you know the time I roll out the co-host couch and due to my geography, it was all about the West coast. I considered having the Eskies in (that is Eskimo Joe for all you who AREN'T music industry knobs like myself who like shortening band names to make it sound like we have some kind of relationship...) but they are getting enough exposure at the moment aren't they? Then I remembered a great little funky tune called Rocksteady which is always a good one to pull out on a Friday anyway and as it turns out the man behind that number is Perth DJ and Producer Fdel - perfect!
I should have know straight up that a DJ who agrees to come in and spin tunes for an hour at 8 in the morning has got to be a top bloke and that he was. Truly one of the most genuine music-makers ever. He spun the tunes,.
