Judee Paine of Beaumont knew since she was 12-years-old that she wanted to become a foster parent.

One day, “We decided to take a chance,” Judee Paine said. “When you have children in and out of your home — and you do have to be open to that — you get to see how they react to things most of us take for granted, like family dinners, where we’ll say a family prayer together, and we’ll ask them what their favorite part of the day was. And sometimes they are not used to having someone care about how their day was.”
During their foster training classes, the Paines encountered families who, in the end,.
