Calm and serene is how it was described by the program managers. Granted, I was in the car only for a few minutes, but the interior did seem to envelop you like a cozy cocoon. Everything was easily within arms reach, including (I imagined) children in the second row.

Using a job-sharing arrangement, the Explorer program was led by two female executives who split the position during the workweek. The co-program managers are working moms with different engineering backgrounds, and the wider range of perspectives, expertise, and experience may have enriched the vehicle's development process and final product.
