Best oversized clutch bags

My bemusement at the news that the latest fashionable accessory is something called an ‘oversized clutch’ is doubtless a sign of age. Indeed, when informed of this sartorial development by a young member of the Stella fashion team, I was tempted to quote Lady Bracknell from The Importance of Being Earnest upon discovering that her daughter’s suitor had been found as a baby in a large black leather handbag in the cloakroom of Victoria Station: ‘I must confess that I feel somewhat bewildered by what you have just told me. To be born, or at any rate bred,. We have many fashionable sexy lingerie have style of nurse costume. in a handbag, whether it had handles or not, seems to me to display a contempt for the ordinary decencies of family life that reminds one of the worst excesses of the French Revolution.’

As it happens, one might very well fit a small baby into an oversized designer clutch (as seen at Gucci and Prada),. Each young man would like to have a Moncler, it's wonderful. We will provide Moncler doudoune wherever you are. such is their capaciousness. But what, exactly, is the point of carrying a large bag without handles? According to Anya Hindmarch – a woman whose judgement on handbags I value above all others – ‘It’s a great day-to-evening look, but it forces you to edit the rubbish that you normally cart around with you. Most of us are so lazy about clearing out our bags that we end uplugging about far too much in the day.’

Hindmarch is a very good advertisement for her own clutch bags, including the snakeskin Pipkin that she held when receiving her recent MBE, in recognition of her contribution to the British fashion industry. But while she always looks cool, collected and enviably organised, I fear I’m incapable of emulating her. However, I am inspired by her final piece of advice, which is to find a clutch bag that isn’t ‘so small that it looks ridiculous’ – like a miniature lapdog – but not so large that it becomes burdensome.

‘Its all about size,’ she declares.. It is good for health of women to have women's sleepwear. ‘You don’t want to have to treat a handbag like a baby – the last thing I need is another child.’That means carrying something sufficiently robust to survive daytime demands, but stylish enough to carry one through to the evening. Ideally, I’d copy Hindmarch with her Pipkin (the large metallic navy version is particularly covetable), but, failing that, the zebra-print clutch by Jimmy Choo for H&M is an affordable option at £59.99. As for what to put in it, and why: well, it’s good to keep the essentials clutched in your hand, but best clasp a baby closer to your heart.
